Rail travellers face yet another travel nightmare today as a result of another train driver strike scheduled for the last weekend of the school year, which will paralyse services across the country.
The 24-hour walkout by Aslef members will have a significant impact on timetables, with trains starting later and concluding sooner than usual, and some locations having no trains all day.
The strike on Friday coincides with the final day of public input on controversial plans to eliminate most railway ticket offices, which have elicited hundreds of thousands of responses.
