Buckingham Palace is pleased to announce that the Coronation of His Majesty The King will take place on Saturday 6th May, 2023.
The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort.
People all over United Kingdom will be asked to say a pledge of allegiance to the King when he is crowned on Saturday
First time in history, the public will be given an active role in the coronation. Calling on everyone watching the event to take part in a “great cry around the nation and around the world of support for the King“.
The removal of the Homage of Peers will reduce the length of the service, which is expected to be around two hours.
