The Range has acquired the Wilko brand

Following the failure of a rescue attempt for the entire company, The Range has reached an agreement to purchase the Wilko brand.

According to the agreement, it will own Wilko’s website and may decide to stock and market a selection of its products.

36 Wilko employees, according to administrators, have moved to The Range, and it anticipates that online operations will resume in early October. The agreement won’t stop Wilko stores from leaving Britain’s High Streets, either.

The 12,500 employees of Wilko are expected to lose virtually all of their jobs as a result of the closures, according to unions.

Since administrators were unable to find a buyer for the entire company, Wilko’s competitors have been buying up portions of it.
